Nueva Ecija couple recovers from Covid-19
CABANATUAN CITY, Nueva Ecija – A couple from Fort Magsaysay in Palayan City, this province has fully recovered from the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19), the Nueva Ecija Inter-Agency Task Force (NEIATF) reported Sunday.
This brought to 18 the number of recoveries from the dreaded disease in this province.
The man, Patient No. 45, and his wife, Patient No. 46, both 51 years old, had a travel history to Europe and tested positive for Covid-19 on March 29, the NEIATF said.
The two were initially admitted at V. Luna Medical Center in Quezon City and were allowed to return to this province after two weeks when they turned negative in the second swab test, the task force report said.
The NEIATF also said the couple had finished the 14-day strict home quarantine on May 1, thus declared fully recovered.
Meanwhile, the number of suspected Covid-19 cases in the province rose to 945 as of Sunday, from 901 on April 29.
Those who tested negative rose to 398 from 382 as the number of people tested increased to 695 from 683, NEIATF report showed.
Governor Aurelio Umali, chairman of the NEIATF, asked his constituents to continuously follow the regulations being implemented under the enhanced community quarantine.
“Let us keep on praying to God for the protection of every family and the entire province,” he said. (PNA)
