Nueva Ecija congresswoman Maricel Natividad-Nagaño will be giving away free farm machinery through RCEF program
Nueva Ecija 4th district representative Maricel Natividad-Nagaño was so happy to share the good news!
On Facebook, the congresswoman reported that 24 cooperatives and farmer associations have signed-up for the validation process of the Philippine Center for Postharvest Development and Mechanization or PhilMech. Since they said yes to the project, those qualified will be receiving free machinery such as a four-wheel tractor, hand tractor, combine harvester, precision seeder, thresher, floating tiller, walk-behind transplanter and other equipment.
After the screening process, the farms will be visited to assess what it needs. This is under the Rice Competitiveness Enhancement Fund-Mechanization Component program that aims to improve and enrich the skills and knowledge of the farmers.
