It’s not always for Roman to tell her transgender story
Bataan 1st District Representative Geraldine Roman is willing to make sacrifices just to fight for the rights of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) community.
In an Instagram post, the politiko shared how sharing about her story as a transwoman is “not the most comfortable thing to do.” But why does she do it?
“But in order to raise awareness on our journey towards an inclusive society of law-abiding, happy, and productive citizens, I will recount my own story as many times as needed,” said Roman.
Doing it for the Equality Babies!
When people ask me if I enjoy telling my story as a transwoman over and over again, I tell them: well, it is not the most comfortable thing to do. Honestly, I do not want this single aspect of my being to define me as a whole. I am more than just a transperson, and have so many other facets. But in order to raise awareness on our journey towards an inclusive society of law-abiding, happy and productive citizens, I will recount my own story as many times as needed.
