‘No Movement Sunday’ reimposed in Apalit amid Covid-19 surge
The “No Movement Sunday” policy prohibiting all business activities except health-related ones on Sundays is back in Apalit town in Pampanga, officials said.
Starting March 28, the municipal government shall implement the policy in a bid to curb the spread of Covid-19 in the town, according to Apalit officials in a statement.
This means that every Sunday, all business establishments with the exception of pharmacies and other medical establishments are closed Sundays.
Operating hours of the public market were also shortened to only up to 12 noon every day except Sunday.
Other health protocols such as mask and shield wearing and physical distancing remain strictly enforced at all times, officials said.
