No change in NLEX, SCTEX operations despite ECQ
There will be no change in the operations of the North Luzon Expressway and the Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway despite the implementation of stricter guidelines under the enhanced community quarantine in Metro Manila and nearby provinces.
According to NLEX Corp., all the necessary protocols will be observed to ensure the health and safety of tollway employees without hampering service to motorists.
“We recognize the critical role of our company in providing vital infrastructure for the unimpeded flow of goods and services,” NLEX Corp. president and general manager J. Luigi Bautista said in a statement.
“Our team commits to comply with government guidelines and directives, and continue to protect our employees and motorists,” he added.
NLEX and SCTEX are operating 24/7 to ensure the unhampered movement of essential goods and the transit of frontliners, workers, and Authorized Persons Outside of Residence (APOR) identified by the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF).
All toll plazas are open but on a limited capacity.
The lanes of the Balintawak, Bocaue, and Mindanao toll plazas are 50 percent to 60 open to motorists.
