The North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) Corporation donated P1.5 million worth of goods and construction materials to typhoon-stricken areas in Southern Leyte and Cebu, according to the tollway company.

The firm also distributed Christmas packages to 350 members of its host communities in Quezon City, Caloocan City, Valenzuela City, and Pampanga.

“Amidst the holiday rush, we would like to give back and be a channel of blessing to others. This way, we can somehow alleviate the burdens of our fellowmen who are going through difficult times,” said NLEX Corporation president and general manager J. Luigi Bautista.

Immediately responding to the needs of our countrymen who were hit by Typhoon Odette, NLEX Corporation sent bottles of water, boxes of assorted canned goods, sacks of rice, boxes of noodles, blankets, and galvanized iron sheets to Maasin, Southern Leyte.

It also provided Php 500,000 worth of relief packs to the local government units of Cebu and Cordova.

The NLEX Road Warriors also contributed by donating their Christmas Party budget amounting to Php 100,000 to Alagang Kapatid Foundation’s relief efforts for the communities affected by the recent calamity.
