Newly-constructed road seen to boost tourism in Bataan town

A newly completed section of a local road in Dinalupihan town is seen to boost tourism in Bataan province, according to the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).

The completion of the 988.41-meter local road in Barangay Pita will make it easier for tourists and residents to get to the Dinalupihan Agro Tourism Area, the Bataan first district engineering office (DEO) said.

According to District Engineer Erlindo Flores Jr., the P14.69 million road tourism project, funded under the 2022 national budget, is the agency’s way of supporting local tourism in Dinalupihan.

“This local road of Barangay Pita serves as an entry and exit point to the town’s agro-tourism area; thus, it needs to be paved and upgraded to national road standards,” he said.

The road section was one of several DPWH projects seen to enhance tourism infrastructure in Bataan.
