N. Ecija Cong Suansing leads House Committee’s approval of numerous bills

Nueva Ecija 1st District Representative Estrellita Suansing led the passage on Tuesday of several bills pending at the House Committee on Ways and Means that she chairs.
“Labing-isang panukala na inihain sa Committee on Ways and Means ang ating inaprubahan, kasama ang mga tax provisions para sa conversion ng mga kolehiyo para maging unibersidad,” Suansing said on her Facebook account.
According to the House of Representatives, the approved bills include those declaring the Polytechnic University of the Philippines as National Polytechnic University, and some state colleges into state universities.
The other bills pertain to the creation of the Regional Investment and Infrastructure Coordination Hub of Central Luzon, as well as the strengthening of the National Museum of the Philippines.
Fellow Central Luzon lawmaker Jose Enrique Garcia III of Bataan joined Suansing and several other lawmakers in acting on the bills.
The congressmen are set to end their session on October 12, and go on adjournment from Oct. 13 up to Nov. 11.(END)
