MVP hails opening of private-led emergency operations center in Clark
Businessman Manuel V. Pangilinan lauded the launching Wednesday of the world’s first private sector-led national emergency operations center in Clark, Pampanga.
“Truly momentous. At Clark we just opened the world’s first national emergency operations center (EOC) run by the private sector via the PDRF (Philippine Disaster Resilience Foundation,” he said on his Twitter.
“Our best possible state of preparedness yet and organized response in calamities. Still the work continues and we pray only for the best!,” Pangilinan, PDRF co-chair, added.
The PDRF Disaster Operations Center is a permanent facility that will coordinate private sector response with the government during disasters while promoting greater awareness among corporate partners of their existing risks and encouraging individual disaster preparedness and mitigation measures. #
