Morong, Bataan officials declare municipal holidays on Oct. 10 & 12
Local politikos of Morong, Bataan have declared Oct. 10 and 12 as special non-working holidays in the entire municipality.
Morong Mayor Cynthia Linao-Estanislao approved the resolution passed by the municipal council, led by Vice Mayor Maria Chona Garcia, on Tuesday.
Ahead of the official founding anniversary of Morong on Oct. 12, the municipality will hold a Canonical Coronation of Our Lady of Pillar on Oct. 10.
In January 2017, the municipal council declared Oct. 12 as the town’s official founding anniversary.
“The people of Morong should be given a chance to enjoy and participate in the various activities, one of which is the Canonical Coronation of Our Lady of Pillar, a very significant event to be held on Oct. 10, 2018,” a portion of Municipal Resolution No. 89 reads.
“In commemoration of its creation as a municipality, this august body is declaring Oct. 10 & 12, 2018 as special non-working holidays in the territorial jurisdiction of Morong, Bataan,” the council’s resolution said.(END)
