Misamis execs visit Pampanga to learn about quarry ops

Officials from Misamis Oriental province toured Pampanga province to study the province’s best practices in quarry operations.

Pampanga Board Member Jun Canlas, with fellow Board Members Benny Jocson, Fritzie David-Dizon, Mica Gonzales, Nelson Calara and Pol Balingit, and ex-officio Board Members Cherry Manalo and Gabby Mutuc met the Misamis officials and the quarry industry in the province was discussed.

Misamis Oriental Board Member Gerardo Sabal III said the purpose of their visit to the province is to learn how to improve quarry operations and revenue generation in Misamis Oriental.

“We have read and have asked reliable sources that the Province of Pampanga has a very good system with regards to its quarry operation,” he said in a Sun Star Pampanga report.

“That is why our governor, Governor Peter Unabia, decided to hold our benchmarking, because in our province, we also have quarrying operations, but it needs to be improved,” Sabal said.

He also thanked Pampanga Governor Dennis Pineda, Vice Governor Lilia Pineda, and members of the Provincial Council for their warm welcome upon their arrival in the province.
