Meycauayan gov’t lines up programs for farmers
The city agriculture office (CAO) of Meycauayan in Bulacan has lined up future training programs that will further uplift the lives of its farmers.
CAO chief Lourdes Balatibat, in the flag-raising ceremony on Monday, said the activities include gender and development skill trainings, meat and food processing seminars, corn handcraft making and candle making workshops.
The City Agri-office is also set to distribute livestock to Mabalaqueño farmers, she said.
During the past months, she cited some of the accomplishments under their Banner Programs, Rice & Corn Production, High Value Crops Development, and Livestock Management.
The official also said that CAO was also able to distribute free seedlings; establish greenhouses and backyard garden.
The City Agriculture also recently held a Vegetable Field Day or Usapang Gulayan with East West Seed last April 25, she added.
