Meycauayan City holds seminar on mushroom production
The city government of Meycauayan has conducted a two-day training on mushroom production to provide livelihood to the residents of Bulacan.
The training, spearheaded by the City Agriculture Office, was held recently at Meycauyan Convention Center.
Gerlie L. Manga of the Department of Agriculture-Region III, a mushroom expert, cited that mushroom has many uses.
Mushroom harvests could be made into patty, puto pao, sisig, chicharon and ice cream, she said.
Some 62 residents from Marilao, San Jose, Malolos, Norzagaray, and Calumpit, and even nearby Bataan, Pampanga, Caloocan City and Manila participated in the seminar.
Representatives from the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) also shared business tips.
