Mega evacuation center now ready for disaster in Malolos
The sprawling Regional Evacuation Center is now prepared for disaster inside the Malolos City Government Center.
According to Malolos City Mayor Gilbert Gatchalian, the 2,610-square meter compound was built thanks to a P30 million grant from the Office of the Civil Defense.
The facility consists of eight buildings, according to the Philippine Information Agency.
Each facility can house 160 to 200 single beds complete with dining tables, kitchens, laundry areas and toilets.
There are also radio rooms, open storage, clinics and pharmacies.
The evacuation center has its own power generators to ensure electricity even during a calamity.
