Mayor Tumang asks new ‘dressmakers’ in Mexico to put up own business
Mayor Teddy C. Tumang of Mexico, Pampanga has urged the graduates of dressmaking to start their own business so that they could employ their neighbors also.
This was Tumang’s message to 29 Mexicanos who recently completed their 15-day dressmaking training under the supervision of the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office’s Sustainable Livelihood Program in partnership with JVF Center for Technical Studies and Assessment, Inc.
The graduates successfully passed the assessment for National Certificate II (NC-II) in dressmaking.
They include 28 women and one man from the different villages in Mexico.
The local government said the recipients of the national certificate will be receiving a tool kit on June 29 from the Department of Social Welfare and Development Regional Office III.
