Mayor Salvador directs declogging of waterways as rainy season starts
Mayor Mario “Kokoy” Salvador of San Jose City, Nueva Ecija has ordered to intensify the declogging and desilting of major waterways with the onset of rainy season.
Salvador said the “Oplan Daloy” of the Engineering Office is being conducted to prevent flooding.
Oplan Daloy involves cleaning, declogging and desilting of canals and other waterways.
Through Oplan Daloy, Salvador said stagnant waters, which could be the breeding ground of dengue-carrying mosquitoes, could be prevented.
He urged the cooperation of the public to ensure cleanliness of the waterways.
