Mayor Pizarro: P350M hotel soon to rise at Mt. Samat
Pilar Mayor Alice Pizarro said a P350-million hotel is being proposed to be built at the Mount Samat National Shrine.
The Bataan politiko said a Metro Manila-based businessman wants to build a leisure-type hotel in a 3.5 hectare site in the upland village of Liyang.
Pizarro said the construction of the hotel will boost Pilar’s status as a historical-cultural tourism destination by 2020.
She added that having a modern hotel in the area will enable American, Japanese, and other Asian visitors to the province’s history.
The Tourism Infrastructure and Enterprise Zone Authority (TIEZA) previously declared the Mount Samat National Shrine as a flagship tourism enterprise zone.
