Mayor Pamintuan launches ‘Tanim Gulay sa Bawat Barangay’
Angeles City Mayor Ed Pamintuan is intensifying the city government’s urban greening program through the “Tanim Gulay sa Bawat Barangay.”
The Pampanga politiko said the project aims to convert idle lands into parks and gardens, which would eventually generate local produce.
Pamintuan said he wants to replicate the success of vertical agriculture in Singapore in Angeles City.
Only 7.78% of the city’s land area is conducive to agriculture.
“We have commissioned our village chiefs through BAPAC to lead their constituents towards attaining our goal of making Angeles more environment-friendly,” Pamintuan added.
