Mayor Cuevas hands out P3k cash aid to Palayan City folks
Mayor Adrianne Mae Cuevas on Sunday led other local officials in the house-to-house distribution of P3,000 cash assistance each to more than 12,000 families as this city remains free from the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19).
The cash assistance being extended by the local inter-agency task force, is on top of food packs, chicken, vegetables and milk that the city has earlier distributed to all families to cushion the effect of the Luzon-wide enhanced community quarantine (ECQ).
Cuevas said they knew that their residents would need more support thus, they worked for the provision of the financial aid.
“Hindi lang ang mga poorest of the poor. Binigyan na rin namin ng food packs at cash pati yung mga nasa middle class dahil mag-iisang buwan na rin silang walang trabaho,” she said.
The distribution started on April 8 and is still ongoing.
Maria said.
Maria added. (PNA)
