Mayor Cristy Angeles strictly bans the use of styrofoam and plastic in Tarlac City

Sep 5, 2019 @ 7:36

A friendly reminder from your friendly Tarlac City Mayor Cristy Angeles.

Under City Ordinance No. 018-09, all vendors and restaurants are not allowed to use plastic or styrofoam. Those caught using the mentioned packaging would be penalized and required to pay Php 1,000 for the first violation, Php 2,000 for the second, and Php 5,000 for every succeeding offense.

Since plastic and styrofoam are not allowed, establishments are advised to use paper bags, carton boxes, reusable bags, biodegradable and compostable plastic bags instead.

Let’s all help one another for a greener Philippines!
