Mayor Concepcion: 10K houses for workers needed in Mariveles
Mariveles Mayor Jello Concepcion has bared that the municipality’s housing shortage may reach more than 10,000 units.
The housing shortage will be caused by the expected influx of workers and their families at the municipality’s export processing zone.
The Bataan politiko said around 110 foreign and local manufacturing companies have applied to put their businesses in Mariveles.
At least 90 companies with around 33,000 workers is currently operating in the export processing zone.
Concepcion said he has urged the country’s land developers to help solve the housing shortage.
