Mayor Angeles nag-request: Tarlac City holiday moved to April 20

President Rodrigo Duterte has declared April 20, 2018 as a special non-working day in Tarlac City to mark its 20th Charter anniversary.

Proclamation No. 459, which was issued on March 27, said the actual anniversary of the city will be on April 19, which is a Thursday.

But it said, “to enable the people of the City of Tarlac celebrate the occasion, the Office of the City Mayor of Tarlac requested that Friday, 20 April 2018, instead of 19 April 2018, which falls on a Thursday, be declared as a special non-working day.”

“It is but fitting and proper that the people of the City of Tarlac be given full opportunity to celebrate and participate in the occasion with appropriate ceremonies,” the Proclamation read.

Tarlac City Mayor Cristy Angeles urged the public to participate in the upcoming events in line with the founding anniversary of the city.

“Do watch out for several exciting activities that our Tarlac City Tourism Council has prepared for all Tarlaqueños!,” she said. #
