Mayor Angeles leads treatment of ear defects
Tarlac City Mayor Cristy Angeles distributed were treated for ear defects and illnesses from June 17 to 20 as part of the city government’s free medical assistance program.
More than 700 people with hearing impediments were given medical treatment by the Starkey Hearing Foundation, Tarlac city government’s partner in the program.
Free hearing aids with free after-care checkup and lifetime batteries will soon be given to those in need of the hearing devices.
“Hearing defects is one of the less diagnosed and treated ailments, yet it prevents so many people from enjoying a normal life,” Angeles said.
“We hope that with this project, our constituents can now enjoy life with full auditory perception,” Angeles added.
