Malacañang declares Oct. 9, 27 holidays in Angeles
The Office of the President, through Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea, declared Oct. 9 and 27 as special nonworking holidays in Angeles City for the Kuliat Festival and the Tigtigan Terakan Keng Dalan.
Proclamation No. 323 also gives the city a chance to celebrate “the resilience of the people during the 1991 Pinatubo eruption.”
The eruption had taken the lives of many and had wrought havoc to the infrastructure and to economic activities of Central Luzon, including Angeles City.
The celebration was requested by the city mayor.
