Mabalacat revamps Covid-19 strategy, identifies ‘ground zero areas’
The city government of Mabalacat is revamping its strategy to control the spread of Covid-19 under a new executive order.
Mabalacat City Mayor Crisostomo Garbo is poised to sign the order to overhaul the city’s Covid-19 Response Initiative System and focus on “ground zero areas” in the city.
According to a Sun Star Pampanga report, the mayor called the leaders of the Mabalacat City Government (MCG) Covid-19 Inter-Agency Task Force to intensify its response in the face of the surge in Covid-19 cases.
“Tayo po ay nasa pag-finalize na ng pagiibayo ng ating plano sa ating pagtugon sa mapanghamong pandemyang ito. Marami po tayong innovation na isasagawa kontra-Covid-19 ngunit ito po ay mangangailangan ng kooperasyon mula sa bawat Mabalaqueño,” he was quoted as saying in the report.
The new strategy is to be called the “Centralized Covid-19 Response Initiative System,” which stresses the importance of the participation of each family and community as the first line of defense against Covid-19, the report said.
The EO has also pinpointed ground zero areas that would be the focus of the new strategy, according to the report.
