Mabalacat City raises awareness on hypertension, diabetes

The city government of Mabalacat has hosted a summit aimed at increasing public awareness about hypertension and diabetes.

The Department of Health (DOH) III, City Health Office (CTO) and the Rural Health Unit III spearheaded the Hypertension and Diabetes Summit held Friday, May 25, at Jade Hall, Xevera Lot Only, Tabun, Mabalacat City.

The event was part of the National Hypertension Awareness Month Celebration.

Some local government officials led by Mayor Crisostomo Garbo attended the event.

Lectures on hypertension and diabetes overview, nutrition, and stress management in hypertension and diabetes control were given to the participants.

The CHO and the DOH also provided free medical laboratory tests, blood pressure checks-up, grooming and dental services. Free Medicines from Unilab and Ritemed were also distributed to the participants.
