Mabalacat brings booster vaxx drive to 72 barangays
The Mabalacat City government is poised to bring booster shots against COVID-19 to its 72 villages starting March 14.
The program called “Oplan Barangayan” is part of the city government’s commitment to making COVID-19 booster jabs and a primary series of doses available to the residents.
Booster shots are being administered at the SM City-Clark every Friday.
As an initial step, the city government tapped all its barangay workers and medical teams for the massive house-to-house census that started on Friday.
The survey aims to keep track of unvaccinated individuals in all barangays and convince them to have themselves protected against Covid-19. This is also in accordance with the directive of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG).
The data collected from the census will also be used by the Department of Education (DepEd) as a reference for its resumption of face-to-face classes in the city.
