Liquor ban, curfew still in place as Aurora put under GHQ — Noveras
Aurora Gov. Gerardo Noveras issued on Saturday an executive order providing for interim guidelines in the implementation of the general community quarantine (GHQ) in the province.
Aurora, with zero Covid-19 cases, was the lone province in Central Luzon in which the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) was lifted.
According to the order, the Province of Aurora shall be under GCQ starting May 2 until May 15.
“Pending the issuance of a Provincial Executive Order that will provide for a localized guidelines in the implementation of GCQ in Aurora, all municipal governments in Aurora and the Aurora Provincial Offices of National Government Agencies are directed to strictly observe the IATF’s Omnibus Guidelines for the Implementation of Community Quarantine in the Philippines approved by President Duterte,” it said.
“The Philippine National Police Aurora Police Provincial Office is hereby directed to continue to maintain all existing checkpoints in the province and to strictly implement Sections and  of IATF’s Omnibus Guidelines for the Implementation of Community Quarantine in the Philippines,” it added.
The order maintained the liquor ban as well as the 8 p.m.-5 a.m. curfew.
