Lazatin’s 82-year-old mom jabbed with Covid-19 vaccine
Angeles City Mayor Carmelo Lazatin Jr. accompanied his mother and his sister as they received their first Covid-19 shots at the vaccination center.
The mayor’s mother, 82-year-old Illuminada Lazatin, 82, and sister Ma. Christina Lazatin, were administered the jabs at the City College of Angeles on Thursday.
In a statement, Lazatin said all seniors and persons with existing health conditions in Angeles City will be vaccinated as the city government ramps up its vaccination program to prevent the spread of Covid-19.
As of June 27, a total of 12,410 senior citizens under the A2 priority group have received their first dose, while 262 are already fully vaccinated.
For the A3 or persons with comorbidities, 16,518 got their first dose, while 492 received their second dose.
The city health office reported 19 new cases as of June 25.
There are currently 292 active cases bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 6,445, with recoveries at 5,859 and 294 deaths.
