Bulacan Governor Daniel Fernando called the attention of the owners of a public utility jeep (PUJ) in Bocaue town after an obscene message about the province’s development was shown on the vehicle’s foot board and went viral on social media.
“Dahil sa mga concerned citizens nabatid po ng inyong Lingkod ang kumakalat ngayong larawan sa social media hinggil sa mga bastos na katagang nakasulat sa estribo ng isang jeep,” the governor said.
“Agad namin itong inaksyunan upang ito ay maitama at ang ano mang uri ng pambabastos sa Lalawigan ng Bulacan,” he added.
The owners of the jeepney plying the Baliwag-Malinta route quicjly issued a public apology and begged Fernando and the Bulacan residents to correct their mistake.
Fernando said jeepney owners should understand where he was coming from.
The Provincial Legal Office is looking at possible penalties for the jeepney owners.
