Pampanga Governor Dennis Pineda and Arayat Mayor Maria Lourdes Alejandrino led the opening of a Japanese training school in Arayat town on Friday.
The school will provide language and vocational training among junior, senior and high school students in the Pampanga town.
The training center was built through the Iris Corporation, according to a Sun Star Pampanga report.
The company’s chairperson Fumio Tamura and Congresswoman Omi Asako of Japan joined local officials during the inauguration of the Philippine Arayat Training School (PATS), the report added.
The school’s campus in Barangay Tabuan has three buildings overlooking Mt. Arayat.
In the report, Pineda thanked PATS for helping “develop excellent human resources that will meet the needs and requirements of Japanese industries.”
