House panel okays 20-meter NLEX service road in Pampanga
The House committee on public works and highways endorsed on Monday a bill paving the way for a 20-meter service road linking the eastern and western sides of the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) in Pampanga.
The service road is seen to unclog traffic jams in the area, especially for short travels.
In filing House Bill 912, Pampanga Rep. Aurelio Gonzales Jr. proposed the construction of the short service road connecting the eastern and western sides of NLEX in Pampanga,
It will be called the “Pampanga Service Road,” according to the bill.
“The construction of the service road will likewise contribute to the further growth and development of the towns of San Simon, Sto. Tomas, Mexico, and the cities of Mabalacat, San Fernando and Angeles in Pampanga, as well as certain towns of adjoining provinces,” Gonzales said in an explanatory note to the bill.
The road will stretch from the San Simon exit of NLEX up to Dau in Mabalacat.
