Here’s how Bataan Gov Garcia will boost Mt. Samat tourism

Bataan Governor Albert Garcia, in a 1bataan.com report, said a joint public and private partnership (PPP) venture will be the best approach for the development of the Mount Samat Shrine of Valor in Pilar.

The Bataan politiko said cohesive and comprehensive planning between the government and the private sector is needed to make the historic landmark a word-class tourism spot.

The Mount Samat Shrine or Dambana ng Kagitingan was allocated an estimated P3 billion for the repair, rehabilitation, and improvement of its exisiting structures and facilities.

There is about 170 hectares of land around the shrine that is reserved for the tourism enterprise zone under Tourism Infrastructure and Enterprise Zone Authority.

Investors in the tourism enterprise zone will be granted various fiscal and non-fiscal incentives.
