Gulay po please: Gov Alvarado says Bulacan to host 15th National Vegetable Congress

Bulacan will be hosting the 15th National Vegetable Congress and Agro-Industrial Exhibit which will take place this November 16 to 18, Governor Wilhelmino M. Sy-Alvarado said on November 14.
The politiko is hopeful that the event will help boost the industry and provide more opportunities and livelihood to his constituents.
With the theme, “Moving together towards the attainment of affordable and available food for every Filipino,” the three-day event will gather an estimated 500 vegetable growers at the Bulacan Capitol Gymnasium to educate and help them improve vegetable production and consumption.
Bulacan provincial agriculture officer Ma. Gloria SF. Carrillo said the project also aims to formulate and recommend programs, strategies and legislations that could strengthen and improve vegetable production chain, consequently establishing food security and sufficiency, and increase per capita consumption of vegetable as a national nutrition improvement initiative.
