Gov Pineda to Pampanga police: Ensure security during ASEAN Summit
Pampanga Governor Lilia Pineda has ordered the Pampanga Police Provincial Office (PPO) to ensure the security of the province for the upcoming Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Summit at the Clark Freeport Zone in November.
The Pampanga politiko aired her concerns over the recent “tanim-droga” incident involving Mabalacat police.
Several cops from the Mabalacat Police District were accused of planting shabu on six men they arrested on Dau, Mabalacat last April 24.
“You must clear this issue or it might affect our image. Kailangan ngayon pa lang i-maintain na natin ang peace and order. Kasi once na may pumutok na issue, once na nagkaprublema, baka aatras sila anytime,” Pineda said.
She also urged the Pampanga PPO to ensure public safety and friendly atmosphere for all the delegates and leaders of the ASEAN Summit.
