Gov Pineda gives away nego-karts to scavengers, vendors
Pampanga Governor Lilia Pineda recently led the distribution of pushcarts and nego-karts worth P900,000 to at least 50 scavengers and 10 ambulant vendors.
The livelihood assistance is part of the P4-million livelihood program of the Pampanga provincial government for 2016.
The beneficiaries are from Lubao, Floridablanca, Guagua, Sasmuan, Mabalacat, Macabebe, Minalin, Sto. Tomas, Sta. Ana, and the City of San Fernando.
Each one was given a nego-kart they could use to sell fresh produce and street food.
The Department of Labor and Employment will give away more livelihood equipment like sewing machines, aircon repair starter kits, and nego trailers in the coming weeks.
