Gov Alvarado to Bulakenyos: Watch out for 6S summer diseases

Bulacan Governor Wilhelmino Sy-Alvarado has tapped the Provincial Health Office-Public Health (PHO-PH) to help prevent the spread of common summer diseases.
The official Facebook page of the Provincial Government of Bulacan said different informative materials on the “6S” summer diseases were disseminated at Bulacan’s provincial hospital.
Among the 6S summer diseases are sore eyes, sunburn, heat stroke, “sipon at ubo” (cold and cough), “suka at tae” (vomiting and diarrhea), “sakit sa balat” (skin disease), and “sakmal ng aso” (dog bite).
The PHO-PH reminded Bulakenyos that rising temperatures make it easier for the body to lose water, which can result in lowered immunity to diseases.
“Isa sa ating mga pangunahing pinagtutuunan ng pansin ay ang kalusugan. Kailangan ng malusog na mamamayan ng isang progresibo at episyenteng lalawigan. Hangad natin ang mabuti at mabulas na kalusugan ng mga Bulakenyo,” Alvarado said.
