Gov Alvarado: Blood donors are modern day heroes
Bulacan Governor Wilhelmino Sy-Alvarado lauds blood donors during the National Blood Donor’s Month Celebration in Malolos City last July 12.
The Bulacan politiko said blood donors can be considered modern day heroes because their generosity saves lives.
Alvarado bared there has been an increase in the province’s need for blood bags, from just 50 bags per month to 2,000 bags per month.
Four blood partners — Bulacan State University, Ang Dating Daan, Fisher Farm Inc. and Damayang Filipino — were also recognized for their contribution.
