Speaker Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo is still seeing the fruits of her labor as president years later.
The politiko was the guest of honor when Taguig City Mayor Lani Cayetano distributed land titles to around 400 residents of Barangay Katuparan in Signal Village, Taguig City.
Arroyo had first provided land security to residents there when she sighed as President Proclamation Numbers 133 and 523.
Arroyo’s Memorandum Number 2003-15 also paved the way for the urban poor communities to own the land they have occupied for many years.
