Being a student athlete is no joke. Meeting school requirements and studying for exams while also making it to daily training sessions and competing on tournaments is not for the faint-hearted.

San Jose Nueva Ecija City Vice Mayor Glenda Felimon Macadangdang makes sure that athletes feel valued for their hard work. Recently, she was present at the division athletic meet awarding ceremony. She took photos with the young athletes, hugged and congratulated them for their hard-earned medals.
