Garcia’s pet bills boosting Bataan’s economic activity hurdle 1st reading

Bataan 2nd District Representative Joet Garcia’s two pet bills aiming to boost the province’s economic activity were recently approved on their first reading.

The Bataan politiko, through House Bill No. 4106, is eyeing to expand the power and functions of the Authority of the Freeport Area of Bataan (AFAB).

The bill aims to strengthen Bataan’s economic capability to make it at par with other Southeast Asian countries.

House Bill No. 4462, meawhile, aims to establish a special economic zone at the Government Arsenal Defense Industrial Estate inside Camp General Luna in Limay.

Garcia said establishing a special economic zone will enable the country to create a competitive arms industry for local security forces and for export.
