Geraldine Roman pleads respects for fellow LGBTQIA

Geraldine Roman is not giving up hope.
The Bataan first district representative believes that someday her fellow members of the LGBTQIA+ community would be afforded the same respect given to her when she assumed a position of power.
“I still hold on, with optimism and confidence, that my colleagues will be intelligent enough and I know that they are intelligent enough to distinguish fact from fiction. They know that the #SOGIEEqualityBill is simply an Anti-Discrimination Bill that seeks to guarantee the rights of our fellow Filipinos who just happen to be LGBTQ+,” she wrote on Facebook.
Her plea to the common folk? Let us keep up the fight. “This is the good fight. If you were able to give me respect, I know that you can find it in your hearts to extend that respect to my brothers and sisters in the LGBTQ community.”
As part of the efforts to champion equality, a Humanizing SOGIE Photo exhibit was put up at the House of Representatives.
