Bataan Rep. Joet Garcia on Tuesday expressed his support for the extension of the Luzon-wide enhanced community quarantine, which has left millions of Filipinos confined to their homes, including his constituents in the second district of his province.
“President Rodrigo Roa Duterte has approved the extension of Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) until April 30th 11:59 PM. This is the recommendation of IATF to completely prevent our countrymen from being infected with Covid-19,” the congressman told his Facebook followers.
“Everyone’s support is especially needed to overcome this crisis,” Garcia said.
He added: “Let’s take care always.”
Duterte has approved the extension of the Luzon lockdown until April 30, the interagency task force on Covid-19 said on Tuesday.
“The enhanced community quarantine is hereby extended until 11:59 pm, April 30,” Cabinet Secretary Nograles said in a virtual briefing.
Duterte, during a national address Monday night, said the government was “inclined” to extend the lockdown.
