Fernando: Situation in Bulacan has ‘calmed down’ but relief ops continue

Bulacan Governor Daniel Fernando on Monday declared that the onslaught of Typhoon “Rolly” has stabilized and calm has returned in the province.

“Kalmado na ang sitwasyon sa ating lalawigan. Inaasahang lilisan na sa kalupaan ng Southern Luzon area si #RollyPH sa araw na ito, at ayon sa pinakuhuling updates ay tuluyang lilisanin ang Philippine Area of Responsibility sa araw ng Martes, November 3,” he said.

But the governor said rescue and relief operations were still in progress.

“Patuloy ang ating pagsasagawa ng relief operations sa mga apektadong pamayanan. May mga nailikas rin sa iba’t ibang evacuation centers sa ating lalawigan na pinagkakalooban ng serbisyo ng ating mga lokal na pamahalaan,” he said.

“Ang kalamidad ay dumarating ng hindi natin inaasahan, kaya’t mahalagang gamitin ang bawat pagkakataon upang maghanda,” Fernando said.

“Tandaan po natin, ang lalawigang handa ay makakaiwas sa matinding pinsala. Tayo ay BULAKENYO, sa anumang kagipitan ay laging HANDA TAYO,” he said.
