Fernando launches free skills training for first 60 workers of new Bulacan airport

Bulacan Governor Daniel Fernando led the launching ceremony for a skills training program for the first 60 workers of the P740-billion “New Manila International Airport” project in the province.

“Isa sa mga pinakikihintay ng marami ang mapalapit sa atin ang isa sa mga pandaigdigang paliparan na magbubukas ng napakaraming opurtunidad para sa lahat ng ating kababayan,” the governor said.

The launch of the free skills training program was attended by Fernando, Tesda Regional Director Jesus Fajardo and Micaela Rosales of San Miguel Corporation, officials said.

A subsidiary of San Miguel Corp. has been granted the contract to build and operate the new airport.

The new airport will be built some 30 kilometers north of Metro Manila in a plan that’s aimed to decongest the Ninoy Aquino International Airport and support growth and development in Central Luzon.
