Former Clark Development Corp. president Noel Manankil has been tapped as the new CEO of the Luzon International Premiere Airport Development Corp. (LIPAD), the company that operates and manages the operation and maintenance of Clark International Airport.

“We look forward to more success and developments in LIPAD and Clark International Airport under his leadership,” according to the announcement on Wednesday on LIPAD’s social media page.

Manankil assumed the CEO position on August 20, succeeding Bi Yong Chungunco, who retired from the position effective August 19.

Manankil was previously LIPAD’s Executive Vice President for Commercial Development, External Relations, and Legal Compliance, a role he assumed in March.

The new LIPAD CEO assumed CDC’s presidency in 2016, succeeding Arthur Tugade who was appointed Transportation Secretary.
