DTI pushes for empowering MSMEs in Clark summit

President Rodrigo Duterte has graced a summit aimed to help empower and make competitive the micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the country.

The 2018 National MSME Summit spearheaded by the was held in Clark, Pampanga Tuesday, July 10.

According to Trade Secretary Ramon Lopez, MSMEs need help to become empowered, enabled, and competitive, especially at a time when business conditions, and technology and innovation have seen great changes.

He noted that the economy is bullish and manufacturing, services and trade—where many of our MSMEs belong—were the main drivers of growth for the quarter.

Lopez also underscored the need to accelerate the 7MS framework in order to achieve the goal set by the President in his socio-economic agenda: to create inclusive growth and shared prosperity for all Filipinos.

The 7Ms stands for Mindset Change, Mastery, Mentoring, Money, Machine, Market Access, and Models of Business. #
