The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) recently led the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of a health center in a village in Nueva Ecija.

The P1,178,865 health center was part of the third cycle sub-project for Barangay Panacsac, Gen. Mamerto Natividad and is expected to benefit 294 individuals.

It is under the DSWD’s Kapit-Bisig Laban Sa Kahirapan-Comprehensive and Integrated Delivery of Social Services (Kalahi-CIDSS) and its construction will be completed within 60 calendar days.

“Kaya ito po ang napagkasunduan naming maging proyekto dito sa aming komunidad ay upang may magamit po kami tuwing may mga medical mission, kasi luma na po yung dati naming Barangay Health Center,” said Beverly Valdez, Barangay Sub-Project Management Committee Chairperson of Kalahi-CIDSS in Panacsac village.

With the project, she added the people in the village have accessible health center whenever needed. #
