Dorm-mate of Bataan’s 1st Covid-19 case tests positive too — Gov Garcia
The Department of Health has confirmed Bataan province’s second confirmed case of the coronavirus disease (Covid-19), a 24-year-old male who was staying at a dormitory in Manila, according to Gov. Abet Garcia.
The patient, identified only as PH303, is reportedly the companion of the first Covid-19 patient of the province, PH64, a 32-year-old male who was living in the same dormitory, the governor said.
He is currently being treated in a hospital in the province after showing symptoms of respiratory illness, Garcia said on Saturday.
As of Saturday, there are now 4,475 persons under monitoring (PUM) and 231 patients under investigation (PUI) in Bataan, according to the Bataan health office.
“Muling nanawagan po ako na manatiling mapagmatyag at mas makabubuting pag-ibayuhin ang pag-iingat,” Garcia said.
“Nakikiusap po ako sa ating mga kababayan, manatili tayo sa ating mga bahay at magpractice ng social distancing sa lahat ng oras,” he said.
