Feb 1, 2018 @ 3:10

Bataan 1st District Representative Geraldine Roman said Filipinos should not be afraid of the proposed bill that would introduce civil unions in the Philippines.

The politiko joined the House committee on women and gender equality’s first deliberation on the measure on Wednesday, January 31.

“There is no reason to fear the the civil partnership bill. It is simply being realistic,” said Roman.

“It is simply being democratic for us to recognize that there are some Filipinos who are not married or who choose not to be married but are in stable, loving relationships, she added.

The said bill was introduced by no less than Speaker Pantaleon Alvarez.
